I’m gonna do Final Fantasy, since that was probably my first fandom, aside from Sailor Moon (which is chock full of girls, and barely any hotties).
The first character I first fell in love with: Sephiroth. Or was it Vincent Valentine? I can’t remember. 😛 I think it was Sephiroth, cuz I’ve been drawn to villains since birth. But yeah, I hated Final Fantasy up until FF7. I thought Legend of Dragoon was leagues better, back in those PS1 days, even if FF came first.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Yuna from FFX. I hated her in FFX-2, which made me appreciate her so much more in FFX, cuz at first I didn’t like her in X either! I thought she was too…nice? IDK. But in X-2 she was just odd. I get that she was trying to emulate Tidus, with the hair and the Jecht symbol and all, but going from clean-cut summoner to gun-toting Dukes of Hazard bimbo in super skimpy shorts? *cringe*
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Lightning from FF13. WTFH is up with her HAIR? And she had such a stank attitude! GAWD! >_< I don’t like Serah’s stupid hair either, but at least she was sweet and cute, and you didn’t see too much of her (hair) anyway.
The character I love that everyone else hates: I feel weird saying Kefka from FF6. I know he was Douchebag Extraordinaire and his laugh was bonechilling and his fashion sense was appalling, but I liked him from the offset. He was one of the very first sims I tried making, for my Creepshow gameplay, back before we got the Tragic Clowns back in SN.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Rikku from FFX and X-2. Not that I hate her now. But I guess the more I play the games the less I can take that chipperness. Same with Vanille from FF13. That overly bubbly thing gets to me, even IRL–people like that drain my energy (pots and kettles, some people would scoff, looking my way XD). She looked GREAT in X-2, but I think she was more mature in X. I guess it was the gravitas of X. Or maybe I am just too partial to Paine, one of my FAVORITE FF characters of all time. 😛
The character I used to hate but don’t any longer:Basch from FF13. First time playing, I couldn’t stand Basch, or Ashe. I thought they spoke funny, acted unrealistically, and were plain ole annoying. But then I played it again and I can appreciate them more, especially Basch, who I guess I was too unsympathetic towards, overwhelmed as I was with Balthiergasms. ^^ He’s a good guy, very honorable, trying to do the right thing. And not too bad looking, either. I’m not into blondes, though.
The character I would totally smooch: Oh, the list I could draw up~! XD But My Top Three Bishie Boys in the Murf Harem are Sephiroth, Vincent Valentine, and Balthier. I’d throw panties at them. Actually, I think Vincent is WAY more handsome than Seph AND Balthier–I think he’s the most handsome male FF’s ever had, and is the ONLY reason I bought Dirge of Cerberus–but Seph’s got major chops for being FF’s hottest freaking villain, with THE BEST theme song EVAR.So Seph’s my #1, despite how much I fangirl over Balthier, whose got the BEST personality. XD My #4 would be Seymour from FFX (I REGRET NOTHING!), and #5 would maybe be Snow from FF13, even though he’s blonde and looks like a souped up Tidus. (Sephiroth is Platinum, okay, which is way cooler/rarer.) Honorable mentions: Noctis from FFXV looks super hot. And Tidus was cute, too, in a very pretty boy kinda way. I like pretty MEN, not pretty BOYS. But Squall from FF8 had THE best wardrobe I’ve ever seen–DANG. I like his outfit even more than the Soldier uniforms from 7. I thought Tidus’ outfit was one of the DUMBEST, even dumber than Seymour’s – YES, I SAID IT! See: Seymour’s not even human (fully), so you can excuse him–have you SEEN the Guado? 
Plus, it’s got pretty colors! But that thing on Tidus was strange. (Even though his humanity could be debated too…spoilers! *cough cough!* ) And on my bestiality trips, I totally think Red from 7, Vivi from 9, and Kimahri from 10 were all kissable, especially Mr. Ronso. ^^
The character I’d want to be like: Paine from FFX-2. I think she’s supposed to be Lulu’s cousin, honestly. They look and act a lot alike, but Lulu’s dress killed me. Paine’s outfit was SWEET! She was awesome. If I was male, I’d want to be Vincent. That red cape was fierce.
The character I’d slap: Most FF characters I’d like to slap, for one reason or another. But you know who I’d love to kick in the face? Those BOSSES! >_< Especially the ridiculously hard ones like Omega Mark 12, Gilgamesh, Penance, Chac and such. There was a blatant show of hatred for the gamer Square displayed making those bosses. B@&t@rd$.
A pairing/ship that I love: As far as canon goes, my top couples are TidusXYuna from 10 and SnowXSerah from 13. The feels THE FEELS! Actually, I think Snow was a better man than Tidus. Snow was DEDICATED. All men need to be like that. (*grumble grumble*) CloudXAerith from 7 don’t count, since….yeah… >_> But as far as non-canon ships go, my #1 would have to be BalthierXFran from 13, for obvious reasons. That was practically canon right there; there was no way no one was picking up those vibes. My #2 is DEFINITELY RenoXRude from 7/Advent Children/etc. ^0^ I swear, I think they are great together; am I the only one who would love to catch them unawares in YaoiLand~? 😉 😉 😉 And my #3 would be VanilleXFang – YES, I WENT THERE! “Sisters” my arse. YunaXLulu are sisters. Heck, YunaXRikku are sisters. Vanille and Fang had my dang screen fogging up, they were so hot for eachother. And call me crazy, but did anyone else pick up some strange Unresolved Sexual Tension coming from Lightning for Snow? 😉 The soldier doth protest too much~! *waggles eyebrows*
A pairing/ship that I despise: LuluXWakka in FFX-2. WHERE the heck did that come from!? O_O I would’ve thought Lulu’d get with a guy like Auron (if Auron wasn’t…yeah 😛 ). Wakka was just so…RANDOM of a choice, for a goth queen of darkness like Lu. I cringe just thinking about it. I would’ve thought WakkaXRikku would happen–oh the irony, Wakka with an Al Bhed!! ^0^ But I like GippalXRikku, so oh well. My second most uncomfortable ship would be PaineXBaralai from FFX-2. Baralai, ya don’t stand a CHANCE! Ick. And my 3rd strangest was honestly NoojXLeBlanc from FFX-2. (Dang, X-2 was messing me over 😛 ) I like the two of them individually, but I think Nooj was just using LeBlanc for those spheres–nope, not THOSE spheres! XD pfft! I wasn’t buying it; Nooj seemed too cold and detached, while LeBlanc was just…well…y’all know. XD
