I wish I had your skill with skyrim conversions. I’ve been playing a lot lately and every day there’s something new I want in ts3 ;____; Thanks for these! x

You’re very welcome! Trust me, there’s no talent involved. 😛 I like doing conversions, because the 3d programs really do all the work for me, which is great, cuz I’m a lazy ole heifer. In a nutshell, what I do is take the .bsa files in Skyrim and extract them – there’s BSA extractor tool floating around the internet somewhere; I have 2 I use, just to make sure everything’s being extracted correctly, since it’s a crapton of files and sometimes things get skipped. It’s 2 or so GBs large and takes a long freaking time to unpack, I won’t lie. Then I got a .nif file plugin for 3DSMax, so I can import Skyrim’s .nif files. From there I just export everything out of 3DSMax as an .obj file (one at a time), import it into Milkshape, clone a TS3 item in TSRW, import/export the .wso files, etc–standard crap. In Photoshop I often have to tweak the UV Maps, and textures to make the mask/multiplier/speculars (I suck at normals). After that, viola! No talent required, just freaking patience–I personally hate creating CC; it’s SO tedious; that’s why I listen to so much music, to keep me energized. Making the clothes is WAY harder, because I literally have to sit in Milkshape all stinking day reshaping the armor to fit sim body shapes, and that’s hell on wheels, let me tell you. With object conversions I just have to rescale the objects to sim-scale, which is nothing in comparison to reshaping armor and dealing with those blasted UV Maps.

I like skyrim^^♥

Cuz Skyrim’s awesome! ^0^ I laughed when Hearthfire came out though. That was…an interesting decision. It was cute, but could have been WAY more immersive, so we could build castles and temples and not just regular homesteads. The Sims Medieval and the TS3 Store, I’m looking at YOU! >_<

Thanks for the link ^__^ Yeah, cutscenes in RE4 were made as video files, I remember I ripped them to make amvs xD I guess pre-rendered backdrop in a thing indeed, because there were modes who kind of ‘recolored’ the game, like ‘hell mode’ etc.

You’re welcome. There’s also a Silent Hill page at Anime Finds, which might help flesh things out a bit more. I DO want to check out the new Res4 HD version that came out, since I hear they got rid of some of the pre-rendered gaming, which sounds awesome.

I love how more folks are taking old games and giving them an HD do-over so they can take advantage of 21st century gaming technology. Here’s hoping Legend of Dragoon gets an HD Makeover! ^0^

Aw man, no wonder T_T Wow I did not know that o.o Kind of sucks that those things are not mostly meshes D:

I know; I was SO bummed when I first learned about that, too. It’s rare to get games like Skyrim that have meshes for everything you see on screen, while still being less than 10 or so GB large. Most games nowadays are 30GB or more, but all of the meshes will be zillions of character/monster/weapon models, like WTF! >_< Where’s the furniture!? Yeah, usually when you see converted objects, pay attention to where that object appeared in-game; chances are a character actually touched it/had it in their hand, or something. 😉

melanieselestasims replied to your post “YES! I’ve been Tagged! ^0^ Music Shuffle Time!”

I have half of these song in my IPod 😛

There’s 15GB of music on my laptop and I REGRET NOTHING! ^0^ (It used to be a lot more but after my other external harddrive broke I lost SO MUCH music – I still need to get back all my Lady Gaga and most of my Eminem and Maxwell albums *whimpers*. Plus I lost so many OSTs I had, and I don’t even remember half the names cuz they were all from Japanese anime/video games, so they’re just gone now. I’m pi**ed.)

plumb-bombs replied to your post “YES! I’ve been Tagged! ^0^ Music Shuffle Time!”

For real tho with the skipping. I just did a full do-over because it was at 5 daft punk songs/10 the first try. & Ahh I knew you’d have good music. ♥

*high fives!* I thought it was just me; like WHY is this so-called “shuffle” playing straight through the entire dang album!? I must have skipped a zillion songs before a new artist would show up on the playlist, it was crazy.

That’s what happens when you listen to too much music…

Can I get another amen – (AMEN!) – There’s a flag wrapped around a score of men – (Hey!) – A gag, a plastic bag on a monumennnnnnnnnnt~~~!! 😛

I love ai no kusabi.

I love it when I see AnK fans! XD It’s such an old one and very heavy – most people are more familiar with Winter Cicadas/Fuyu no Semi, which was very heavy, too. Crazy how popular leg amputees are in Light Yaoi stories. 😛 I don’t even remember the first time I saw/read AnK, it’s so old. 😛 But I remember my first time seeing Winter Cicadas and Basilisk – the Sci-Fi channel used to play anime after midnight on I think Thursdays, years ago. That was around the time Karas the Prophecy came out, too. And I think I saw Omnyoji around the same time period. I swear, sometimes cable TV is awesome.
