WORKLOAD

Even with Jupiter having saved both Riki and Iason from the brink of death after the explosion at Dana-Bahn, Riki’s life was more or less the same. He was still the pet of Iason Mink, but concessions had been made and Riki was back to living in Eos, after having so easily been snatched off the streets of Apatia by his former partner, Guy – whose whereabouts were unknown. 

As before, Riki was allowed to work for the Black Market, but now he trekked long distances between Tanagura and Midas, and only a few times a week, which cut into his pay considerably.

Still, it was his own money, earned doing his own work, and he was satisfied.

Riki kept himself busy during the day crunching numbers, encrypting and decoding sensitive data, and organizing shipments for smuggled goods.

He was interrupted by a chime at the door. Security was tight, with few given access to Riki’s base, but the doors slid open, allowing his untimely visitor entry.

Oh, it was just Alec – Riki’s glorified babysitter. Alec was the main hacker for the Black Market, Riki’s former sempai, and now his shadow.

“Urgh, are you still going at it, Riki? How can you work in such a gloomy atmosphere; at least put on some music!“

“I need to concentrate on getting these schedules to Katze, Alec; I don’t want to listen to music. I won’t be here for the rest of the week, so I want to get as much done as I can in the time allowed.“

“Have you at least eaten yet? I’m famished! Katze is a slave-driver; eight hours is more than enough time – now up up up! I can’t properly work AND watch after you on an empty stomach!“

Riki sighed, deep within his soul.

“Fine.“ He was bone tired anyway. A drink would be nice. The fates knew he’d probably need a stiff one, dealing with the denizens of Eos on a daily basis. Sometimes Riki missed living alone in Apatia, Iason dropping by after work with just the two of them, instead of being surrounded by servants, other Elites, and their annoying Pets.

“Lead the way, Alec. Oh, if Katze complains about the schedules, I’m telling him it’s all your fault.“

Alec snorted. “We’ll see about that, after you’ve downed a few shots and got some good food in your belly. Let’s go!“

MY THOUGHTS

Even though I said I was done with the Ai no Kusabi gameplay, I’m not. 😛

As I said during my last gameplay, I’m basing it off how I think AnK should have ended – SPOILER ALERT: Riki and Iason die at the end, after Riki’s ex-boyfriend Guy blows up a frikkin building cuz he’s a frikkin idiot, but that just made zero sense to me. Iason’s a freaking android; they can’t die. And Riki should have asked Katze for help after Guy kidnapped him, way sooner than he did. None of that crap would have happened.

My last gameplay session was mostly flashbacks, based off scenes the 1992 – ‘94 OVAs and 2012 anime. It starts and ends with Iason and Riki fully healed from their injuries, and back to normal, while Riki reminisces about the events that led up to their recovery.

This gameplay is non-canon; it follows a bit of Riki’s life as he tries readjusting to his place in society and going about his business. Hijinks ensue. Plus angst and drama dealing with Iason, of course. Good times. I’ll sometimes be inspired by various AnK fanfictions, too. If you don’t like it, feel free to block the AnK, Sims 3 AnK, and Ai no Kusabi tags. I’ll tag some as NSFW if I think the content’s getting dicey. Otherwise: enjoy!
