Congrats! You can now leave comments on original posts. It’s wee bit wonky but it works and is better than nothing until Tumblr kills this fix and/or makes their new one.

I totally fail at technology – is something supposed to come up when you write “comments” in the box that says “create extensions”? Or are you supposed to write something else in it?

There should be some lines of code on the right hand side?  You’re going to delete all of them.  Then do you see the link at the top of this post?  Open it in a different tab and copy all the code and put it into the box you deleted the other code out of.  Then click “save extension”.  Voila!  All done.  ^_^

Thanks @eirenical! I got it to work;hurrah!

It keeps saying my comments are “

queued”.  How do I get them to actually show up??

Did you delete everything in that New Extension page that appeared? (It was only a few lines of colorful text).

Then, you have to follow this link that says Comments: NewXkit Extension > and it’ll take you to this JavaScript page FULL of colorful text.

Copy ALL of it, and Paste it into that now-empty New Extension page you created. Click save. Ta-da~!

(Yeah, I don’t know WHAT Tumblr was thinking, getting rid of comments. This isn’t Pinterest or WeHeartIt; we like to talk with people about their pictures; otherwise we wouldn’t post them online for people to see in the first place!)
