Tips for Simblring Part II

previous part

I’m back with the second part of the simblring adventures tutorials. I’m going to talk about how Nraas mods work.

This is very helpful because if you don’t know already, sims is a very buggy game. It’s features don’t include cache cleaning and removing residual files therefore this leading to buggy, slow, laggy, corrupted, broken games that all of us hate.

However, Nraas Industries are a saviour for our buggy games.

I’m going to list some of the most important mods i use, however you can just browse through them all. I own probably 95% of them because they spice up the game a lot!

If you didn’t notice yet, the site is already linked a few lines above. Access it. Now scroll down and on the left side you will see the mods listed down.

First mod you want to click is definitely Nraas Master Controller

This mod,as described, “

MasterController’s purview is to provide functionality to manage the population of your town. The mod provides manual interactions for altering sims either individually or en-masse.” In more simple words, this mod gives you access to a long list of commands. It will help you do pretty much everything with it. Clean up your game, enter cas mode, enable more sliders, makeup, clothes, set relationships, reset, kill, remove sims, add housemates, use genetic options and SO MUCH MORE.

The mod provides a large variety of other addons that will save your life

Each mod has a description.list, faq and so on. I’m not going to go in detail because you can explore on your own and read those FAQs. It’s easy as that.

If you don’t know where to put the game: Documents>Electronic Arts> Mods>Packages> (you can put it here or in a subfolder, depending on your preference)

This is how you access the mod in game for those who are wondering:

Click anywhere on the ground or on your sim

See the Nraas option?Click it

This is the menu that comes up when you load it

As you can see it has a ton of options, which you should explore to see what they do or read online if you’re not sure. However I’m going to give you some tips, especially for Sims Creators.

Go to Settings

Click CAS

I added a dot in front of the categories that most of us use.

To begin with,

  • Eye color and Hair Color by category will allow you to set a different Hair/Eye color for each clothing category: swimwear, everyday etc
  • Multiple Accessories/Makeup per location will allow you to use more of these in Master controller’s CAS(will explain later how to access it). The default limit is one of each: 1 lipstick, 1 blush, 1 bracelet etc.
  • Naked tattoo will make your sim naked in CAS when you edit their tattoos
  • Show in compact form. This is VERY important for gameplay. It will only show you one thumbnail of an item instead of 3, which will DRASTICALLY improve loading times. I have 8gb of clothes and my cas loads in less than one minute. Ta-dah!
  • Slider Multiple will increase the range for your CAS sliders which will allow you to make even better looking sims. Don’t go over 5 though because it bugs your game as far as i know. I use 3. Some people use 5, some use 2. It’s up to you.

Now for how to access the Master Controller’s CAS and why that is important for your gameplay

The Master Controller’s CAS will allow you to use more sliders than the normal CAS that you access with cheats or a mirror/dresser/ when you first start a game. The CAS will work just as a normal CAS, except you can access it at all times in game.

Click a sim Nraas>Master Controller

That’s how to access the CAS

A second mod you definitely need is Overwatch.

“This mod’s purview is the correction of persistent or recurring errors produced by the Core game or other mods.
“ Basically this mod cleans your game and keeps an eye on errors. It’s a life saver.

A third mod you definitely need is  ErrorTrap

“This mod’s purview is save-game cleanup and error reporting.

“ Basically it reports errors, resets stuck sims etc. Life saver.

These are the most helpful mods that will save your life and game and time by cleaning up your game and reducing lag, errors etc. You can definitely get more mods from them but be careful with your game version compatibility. As i said before, i love them and own pretty much every mod they have. It will definitely save your game from everything EA cannot fix because they’re too lazy and it will make your simming experience easier.

Happy simming. Until next time.
