It worked! ^0^

Thank you, @kosmokhaos and everyone who lit a candle for me!

So now I know that we totally can install .sims3pack sims by extracting the .packages file with the Multi Extractor, finding the right file in S3PE, renaming it as a .sim file, and installing it in your Saved Sims folder! Woot woot!

Tell us if the process is working. 😉 *crosses fingers for you*

It totally worked! The sim had no thumbnail in CAS, and I don’t know if that was an unfortunate side effect, or my PC just taking forever to render one, but oh well. And the CC skin wasn’t automatically applied like the rest of the CC was. It was using an EA skin so I had to put the skin on myself, searching through a zillion little circles to find the right skin, which sucked. 😛 But other than that the sim showed up just fine! HURRAH.

Just FYI – I
know this is already resolved. But you can put Sims Packages in the
Mods Folder and have them work in game. I do this all the time. Then
once I am in game, I save the sim normally to sim file. Then remove the
packaged sim.

Wuuuut! Are you kidding me? And it still shows up under the Premade sims in CAS? O_O

This is all
good to know, thank you, I always struggle with it myself and don’t do
it often enough to remember what I did the last time I did it *sigh* 😉

Good ole simnesial I’ve been there before.
