As an addition to the Mesopotamian/Persian CC in Part 1, here’s some extra content for your Eastern gameplay!

image

Included are 5 items (3 recolorable decors found under  Sculptures and 2 non-recolorable but functional computers) and 4 patterns (found under Masonry).

Happy Holidays!

Again, the descriptions, preview pics, and a crapton of Wikipedia links are under the cut for length.

Decor Prism 1

image

This prism has 1 style (fully recolorable), based on the Taylor Prism of Assyrian king Sennacherib (believed to have built the initial phase of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon). The prism gives a RL account of Biblical events about sieges on Jerusalem that took place.

Decor Prisms 2

image

These prisms have 2 styles (both recolorable & non-recolorable). They’re
directly from pics of two RL surviving cuneiform tablets: the Weld-Blundell Prism featuring a Sumerian King List and references to Gilgamesh’s flood, and the

Prism of Assyrian King Esarhaddon (son of Sennacherib).

Decor Stele

image

These come in numerous styles
(all recolorable & non-recolorable). I included a few of my favorites: composite view reliefs of Assyrian kings Ashurnasirpal II, his son Shalmaneser III, and Esarhaddon; Sennacherib’s Stele; and the coolest one IMO: the cap of Hammurabi’s Code showing Hammurabi and the god Shamash.

Functional Computers

image

There are two PCs included: one with a “screen” and “cpu,” and with just the “keyboard“ and “mouse.“

image

Both are non-recolorable, but have several variations.

The two maps are medieval Islamic ones by al-Idrisi of the Old World, and the cpus are from the lapis Standard of Ur, and lapis tiles from a section of the Gates of Ishtar. The black basalt one sghows some random proto/early-cuneiform and a section of Esarhaddon’s Prism.

I decided to be extra, and threw in two Egyptian variations, since they’re contemporaneous. The “screens” are from the Papyrus of Ani (Book of the Dead) and the Rhind Mathematical Papyrus. The “cpus“ are random hieroglyphs from a tomb and the Rosetta Stone, because of course  😛

image

The “keyboards“ and “mice“ are from random Cylinder Seals. I had to flatten the cylinder/mouse enough so it wouldn’t clip with sims’ hands. The Egyptian ones are more papyrus with hieroglyphs/hieratic.

Patterns

4 fully recolorable patterns, all found under Masonry. Made with TSRW, not the CAP tool.

And that’s that for now! Enjoy!
